Done in collaboration with Arch. Leonardo Rossano in Florence, Sagano is a project conceived from the idea of using renewable and sustainable materials. Cork and bamboo grow fast and easily, without causing a strong environmental impact.

Shape comes from the understanding of the materials’ properties, taking advantage of the bamboo’s strenght for structural elements and finding support in the way it meets the cork, both elements work in function of each other.

Aditional structural elements are meant to be sober and not catch attention, giving protagonism to the previously mentioned materials.

Realizado en colaboración con el Arq. Leonardo Rossano en Florencia, Sagano es un proyecto concebido desde la idea de usar materiales sustentables y renovables. El corcho y el bambú crecen rápidamente y sin causar un alto impacto ambiental.

La forma es producto del estudio de las propiedades de cada material, usando la resistencia del bambú para elementos estructurales y dando soporte con la manera en que se une al corcho, ambos elementos trabajan en función al otro.

Elementos estructurales adicionales son sobrios y no pretenden llamar la atención, dando protagonismo a los materiales mencionados anteriormente.
